Description
This course teaches installation and administration of IBM HTTP Server and WebSphere
Application Server on iSeries.
It covers using the administrative interfaces for WebSphere administration,
deploying various applications, securing applications, troubleshooting, backup
and recovery, and the Network Deployment environment.
Audience
Administrators who need to install and configure WebSphere Application Server
on iSeries platform, install business applications, setup J2EE security for
these applications, and run regular maintenance tasks.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with iSeries system administration tasks
Understand Web and Web server concepts
Remarks
Though not essential, an understanding of e-business technologies such as Webservers,
Java, XML and web based
application architectures will be useful background for this course.
